About me

This is the part where I am supposed to write all the cliche stuff about who I am and what I like, making me sound like a much more amazing, well rounded person than I am. But I won't!

I'm a 31 year old wife (of 3.5 years) who spends too much time at work, and as a result neglect my husband!  Told you I'd be honest. I am very independant (as is he) so fortunately it's not the end of the world (or our marriage!)

Hubby and I both have different ideas of what a nice Saturday involves (I like pottering, walks, shopping, chatting in coffee shops) and he likes to be as active as possible (surfing, rowing, motorcross). This doesn't cause any major issues, however as you can imagine at times we don't see each other much on the weekends either.  The one thing we are truely both passionate about and love is exploring and travelling the world, and the bonus is that it means we spend lots of amazing quality time together!

I am from New Zealand, and just over 2 years ago packed up and left for the trip of a lifetime, through South America for 5 months. I'd do it all over again if I won lotto and there wasn't so much else to see! Now based in London for career and work, I try to get around Europe as much as possible on weekends and holidays, and on 25 days of annual leave, I give it a good nudge to maximise bank holiday weekends as much as possible!

I have only recently decided to rejuvenate this site, it was initially used for family to follow me in South America.

The ultimate goal of this site is for someone to pay my expenses to cover a destination for their site/blog. I realise that will take time, effort and followers, so please make a comment while you are here, and come back soon! :) It also means, when I have the post trip blues, I need to spend the time actually documenting the trip I've just had (improvement needed here!)

2011 involves lots of incredible trips, so I hope you'll join me on my travels!
